I had intended some time ago considered joining the Guild of One Name Studies but felt we were not
that far advanced with the amount of data and its organisation, this year we have joined and included
the new branches of Tranmar and Tranmer. These names already have a growing database of events and
information coming together.

At last we have our own web presence, being fed up with the existing provider and all the advertising
pop-ups appearing I decided to get our own domain name (trangmar.co.uk) plus its own web hosting by 1&1.
With it set up this way I hope as promised before to update on a more regular basis only time will tell.
Further work on the story from Trenchemer to Trangmar is ongoing, at present at four pages and growing.

Another piece of research has made progress but like then all is never complete, this new page named Trangmar
businesses looks at the branch of the family that entered into the grocery trade and had premises in Brighton
in Sussex and as far away as Portland, South Australia. Sadly our weather here in England has put paid to any
pictures being added so far but better weather can't be far away or so I'm led to believe!!!

With the addition of a digital camera in our household I hope to be able to add some much needed pictures
to these web-pages. These will take the form of such things as places where Trangmar events took place such
as parish churches, houses and properties mentioned in census returns etc. They will also be included in the
latest research project I have been undertaking, this is regarding Trangmar businesses in Brighton, Sussex
between 1820 and 1920 which after researching the results had an interesting outcome. It is hoped to upload
this project early in the new year, so watch these pages.

In order to make regular updates I have been evaluating IBM WebSphere Homepage builder V5.0
it seems to be much easier to use than M.S. Frontpage which I used on the original webpages and
if the upload to the website goes as easy then I will purchase the full version and expand our pages.

It seems a great shame to have so much information on the family in files on a shelf in the living room
when it should be shared and available to everyone to enjoy, so it looks like a busy time when the
evenings shorten here in England, if I leave it until my retirement then there would be too many files!

I hope everyone will let me know their thoughts about the new pages, although they are very similar in
content to the first ones there is a lot to be typed up and added, there is a mountain of Australian
information that has come in from various sources and I have continued to gather bits from here in England

There have been many new connections with other branches of the family not just in Australia but further
ones in America and here in England, I continue very much to enjoy gathering, collating, and fitting
together all the information regarding the Trangmar family, my mother certainly has something to answer for!

Kindest regards to everyone
